OTECSA attends CIBD Scottish Section Annual Dinner 2025

After another busy year working on distilling projects, some of the OTECSA team took the time to unwind with clients and industry colleagues at this huge annual event.

On Friday evening, 3rd October 2025, members of the OTECSA Consulting Ltd team joined industry peers and clients for the Chartered Institute of Brewers and Distillers (CIBD) Scottish Section Annual Dinner, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central. The event brought together professionals from across the brewing and distilling sectors for an evening of connection, celebration, and fine food.

CIBD is a globally recognised institute dedicated to supporting professionals in brewing and distilling. Its Scottish Section dinner is a much-anticipated event in the industry calendar, offering an opportunity for networking and recognising achievements within the community.

OTECSA hosted a table made up of our own team and a group of valued clients. It was a fantastic opportunity to enjoy each other’s company away from the work setting, while also engaging in informal discussions about the evolving challenges and innovations in the brewing and distilling landscape. With a shared appreciation for quality and safety, the conversations reinforced the importance of cross-industry collaboration and long-term partnerships.

In addition to enjoying the evening, OTECSA is proud to support Cash for Kids, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Through various fundraising initiatives and donations, we contribute to their mission of providing grants to children affected by poverty, illness, neglect, or additional needs. Supporting such causes aligns with our values and commitment to making a positive impact in our community.

The evening was complete with a wonderful meal, friendly banter, and a few top-notch drams to toast the night. Events like these remind us of the human side of our work—building relationships, supporting shared goals, and celebrating the industries we’re proud to serve. A big thank you goes to the organisers of the dinner for delivering such a polished and enjoyable evening.

Until next time—Slàinte Mhath!
