Team Building Day in Dundee – Strengthening Culture at OTECSA

OTECSA’s quarterly team-building day in Dundee combined problem-solving fun at Escape Rooms with a productive business review session, highlighting our commitment to a strong, collaborative team culture.

Our recent team building day in Dundee was not only packed with puzzles but also helped reinforce our company culture. At OTECSA, we understand that great work comes from great teams—and great teams are built through connection, collaboration, and shared experiences. Our latest team-building day in Dundee was another step forward in reinforcing that belief.

We started the day at Escape Dundee, where the team split into two groups and tackled intricate escape room challenges. Packed with ciphers, blacklights, bottlenecks, and hidden easter eggs, it was a fun and stimulating morning of problem-solving and teamwork. Both teams earned a respectable 5th place on their respective room leaderboards—and even more impressively, they did it with no clues!

Following the challenge, we headed to Apex Hotels on the Dundee quayside for a well-earned lunch and some relaxed conversation. But the day didn’t end there. In the afternoon, we shifted gears to reflect on our recent performance and explore ways to improve how we work together and deliver value to our clients as we continue to grow. During this discussion, all team members actively participated, sharing insights on operational challenges and brainstorming practical improvements for current projects. This collaborative session gave everyone a chance to contribute ideas, highlight successes, and suggest actionable steps to enhance our workflows and client service.

Sessions like our team building day in Dundee aren’t just for internal development—they directly benefit our clients. A more cohesive, communicative team delivers smoother project execution, more agile problem solving, and consistently high-quality service. We’ve documented the key actions raised during the day and will be reviewing progress in our upcoming meetings. These collaborative efforts are a cornerstone of how we grow together as a business.

With team members based across Scotland, these quarterly meet-ups are a key part of maintaining a strong, inclusive team culture. We left the day recharged, connected, and ready for the next chapter—starting with our upcoming Christmas party!
