Following the addition of Molly to the team in July, OTECSA welcomes another new team member in August with Senior Engineer Vhari Shanks joining.

OTECSA welcomes senior engineer Vhari Shanks to the team. Vhari joined in August 2024 to add another senior member to the process safety engineering team at OTECSA. Vhari’s experience comes from more than a decade working for an upper tier COMAH manufacturing site in Central Scotland.  With experience in Process Engineering, plant troubleshooting and debottlenecking as well as processed safety studies such as HAZOP and LOPA.  Vhari’s experience ties in well with the other members of the OTECSA team and adds another dimension with her experience on an operating plant.  As well as process and process safety engineering, Vhari also has an interest in control systems engineering and automation projects.

A wealth of experience

Vhari’s experience coming up with innovative solutions will help the OTECSA clients across many industries access to high quality engineering expertise. This addition, further strengthens the senior engineering team at OTECSA. As we look to further grow with the business over the next few years, Vhari had this to say about her new role:

“From personal experience on another site, I know that OTECSA provide an honest, trustworthy service and I’m happy to be part of this.”

Owen Llanwarne, Managing Director at OTECSA:

“I’m delighted to have another highly experienced team member join us at OTECSA.  A few of us at OTECSA have worked with Vhari in the past and already know the wide range of skills she will bring to the team.  This will help the senior engineering team with complex workload and also help the younger team members learn and develop”.
